This is one of my most favourite photographs ever! I just love how my little son is trying to colour while struggling to see past the oversized dressing up costume hat that’s covering his eyes!

Burghley House in Peterborough Stamford, is a superb stately home worth a visit if you’re ever down there. I’d even say book to be in that area so you can visit Burghley House!  It has some great history about it including Lord Cecil’s ? chequered history with Queen Elizabeth I (I need to check the details!) and deer in the grounds.

Super fun also were the Tudor fancy dress costumes provided for the children to try on, which they did with gusto and colouring papers and jigsaws. This visit was quite a few years ago for us now but it’s definitely one we’d like to repeat!
